Bimer Club Dig
THere was a road widening project in my area that was going to cut off a portion of a park that had native trees in garden beds. After 6 months of jumping between local and state council reps we finally obtained permission to dig the trees up in July. Trees available were Melalueca claret tops, Callistemon LIttle Johns, some pink flowering lepto and a lillypily variety. THe trees were quite large and we hired an excavator to do all the hard work. THe biggest part was removing the green waste as agreed previously. Here are some pics. I went for the melaleucas and a lepto for the wife.
THere were alot of large roots, but some pockets of fine roots, so will see how each member goes with their trees.
It was a good morning had by all of us.

Re: Bimer Club Dig
I'm impressed, getting a "digger" in is the the way to go.

Re: Bimer Club Dig
Well done
Excellent when we can save them from the landfill like that!
Quite a few monsters as well to break the back later on
Such pity when you actually have to leave trees in a cleanup / dig like that!
