What's the best and faster way to get some trunk thickness out of my juniperus squamata
Would planting it in the ground make a difference?
Thanks.

Yes mate the bigger it gets the thicker the trunk will get . They are slow to thicken . The ground is the best place to thicken it up. I got a 15 year field grown one and its 2.5 inches at the base . Keep low branches to add taper .
