Notelaea ovata
I have been experimenting with collecting methods & after care for this species & am starting to understand it well enough to make a start on design with this piece collected 12mths ago.
Today I slipped it out to inspect the roots, happy with what I found it was repotted into this early Pat Kennedy pot. Given the upper part of the trunk this would be about best placed for a front that doesnt require cutting hard or some extreme bending experiments...
The lower half of the trunk is shown to best effect from this angle, the top is troublesome...
It will be allowed to rest now till midsummer when it will receive its first styling prune, in the mean time I might experiment on another Notelaea to see how it takes to bending....You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
