[VIC] Conifer Gardens Nursery reviews?
http://www.conifer.com.au/welcome
Hi all, can anybody give me some info on the above nursery?
There are a couple of species that I am interested in. But I don't know about the quality of the stock as Bonsai material. Also being in Canberra I can't just pop down to check them out.
Any negative comments can be PM'd to me as not to start trouble.
Thanks in advance,
Sean.

It's been a few years since I visited the nursery but never found fault in any of the stock. None is grown specifically for bonsai but they do have the most extensive collection of conifers in australia

Thanks Matt.
Their extensive collection is the reason I was drawn to them. The prices seem pretty good, I just need to confirm that the stock is good too.

Good nursery large selection and reasonably priced, they do grow stock to target the bonsai market but not sold as bonsai stock, nice hinoki cypresses there, definitely worth a visit.
BTW if your going up to the mountains may be worth dropping in to Gentiana Nursery speak to Craig highly recommended.

I have often purchased stock from them.
On line purchasing you need to take care as much of the unusual varieties are grafted.
Good grafts and ugly ones as well.

Thanks Gerard,
Its two of the more unusual varieties that I am after and I know they will be grafted.
When I do the order I will ask politely if I can have a pretty graft. I guess I will be at their mercy on which tree they choose to give me though.
