More Banksias

A few of my banksias are coming along.

I am thinking of using this tree as part of a two tree planting with tree 1 or 2

Tree 5 is younger and the leaves are much broader but I still believe it to be a banksia integrifolia.

Any updates on your Banksia's?

This is a great selection you have posted with some nice variety of styling.

As you are also a local Victorian I'd love to hear some of your care techniques as well.
Please detail some thoughts around..

* Repotting
* Hard Prune
* Fertilising
* Water etc etc

I've just stumbled across what I believe to be a fantastic Integrifolia myself yesterday.
I'll post a thread when I get a chance to take a photo or two for some advise.

I have seen at my local garden nursery a prostrate form of the integrifolia, has anyone used this? Perhaps a cascade banksia?

Hi Boics,
I leave them alone at this time of year, apart from watering.
4 of the larger ones came to me in January in poor health. I repotted them immediately, defoliated one and partially defoliated the others in an attempt to balance the growth which was patchy.
Fertilize with low native fertilizer (low phospheros)
I plan to make some branch selection and completely defoliate during November as they are now starting to look much healthier.

I have seen some wonderful results with banksias where unusual trunks and bends have become a feature, go for it!

I'll post some pics of my new tree when I find a moment as I'd like to get some styling advise for latter in the year.
