The importance of beer to wiring

Post by Shane »

This tongue-in-cheek thread title comes courtesy of Joe's recent demo to BonsaiNorthwest, where he used a beer bottle underscore some important lessons/reminders in wiring.

Here Joe demonstrates that if you are going to bend down a branch, don't start the wire under the branch, as that would crush the branch on the wire. This is appropriate if you are bending upwards.

Joe also noted the correct way to wire opposing branches; should you have to retain them. The wrong way will lead to a loose hold and when you bend one branch, wobbling of the other that might break it.

Thanks to Joe for another entertaining and informative demo. Here's the larch he restyled.
