Weather forecast looks favourable for tomorrows opening festivities.

A possible early shower;(Settles any dust and waters the grass and plants) then clearing to a fine but cool day.

Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow.

Opening of the NBPCA in 2013

Oh there is a map showing where to catch the bus and reckon there is parking at each. But I still can't decide
:lost:
The best for you would be Stromlo Forest Park, on the Coppins Crossing/Uriarra Road. You reach it from North Canberra via William Hovell drive, or from South Canberra via the Cotter Road. The latter is mandatory if there is heavy rain, because Coppins Crossing can get flooded. Both roads are on the map of the Opening site. Note that it is open country, so no secure parking for your motor bike. Sure you won't come by car? With some rain forecast, the bike might not be the most comfortable mode of transport... Hope to see you tomorrow, have a good trip!

Opening of the NBPCA in 2013

Post by Steven »

G'day,
I'm on the coach heading back to Sydney after an awesome day. The Arboretum and NBPCA really are world class! The NBPCA is a centerpiece to the whole place which is going to really increase the exposure of our art to the public.
Here is a taste of what is there. Apologies for the phone pics but hey, we can't wait forever for Ken to put his up :)

WOW :!: Looks like a fantasy land. Great to see some familiar old trees that I have met before in Tasmania.

On behalf of all of us who were unable to attend the opening, thank you Steven for posting these fine photos.

Trully, Bonsai is alive and well in Australia. Sorry we could not attend but it is sure on our bucket list as we travell around Australia.
