Three days indoors - too much

Have to leave my bonsai for three days Sydney weather November.

Friday AM water (soak) and bring into the garage ..put into water trays.
Saturday away
Sunday back home for evening watering.
If I get 2 stinkers I think I will be in trouble,
So close to 2 full days no water.
Is garaging sensible (some ventilation) ?
Otherwise under shrubs outdoors.
If rain looks definite no probs However its a Wedding (all rellies) so can I wish for rain.

I am still pretty much a novice and we are not talking exhibition stock ... but still !!

How much soil in each pot?
are they Bonsai pots?

Unless we are due to get hot weather then they should be fine.
Any in Bonsai pots, put on top of a tray of sand or gravel and wet them down before you go.

Try leaving a few deeper trays or buckets of water around to keep the humidity up as well

What about a water timer?

I went away for over a month during Melbourne summer last year.
Timer set with sprinkler for 3 minutes in the morning and 3 on the evening.
Didn't lose a tree.

Almost all in bonsai pots too.

Really it's the real heat that's the biggest problem right?

Water them then wrap the pots in plastic bags. Or in the water trough watered well with wet newspaper underneath these methods are good for a week in hot weather.

Hi David,

My hire trees stay indoors for up to 4 days without any water. They get a good soak before they go in, then are in heated/air-conditioned offices and cafes, etc for either 3 or 4 days. There are times (ie public holiday weeks) that they may stay indoors for 5 days. I have been doing this for 10 years and have never lost a tree.

Another good way is to put them in the backyard and put pea straw over them at trunk level. Water in for a couple of days and they will hold for a week.

Update
Friday AM 16th Sydney

Split my pots into shallow and deep and checking BOM decided to soak the deep pots and leave in there normal positions as "mild" weather predicted.
Took all shallow pots watered the night before indoors in trays (little water in trays)

All plants perfect Sunday 18th PM.

As I was advised bringing plants indoors for this length of time was a piece of cake.
