Mr Tanaka and Peter have customised the layout of the van to have an extra removable shelf installed which was really cool.
Here's Peter bringing out one of the larger trees for the sales area.
As an interesting note, that orange blanket that has been put over the 2 wooden display boxes was my seat for just under an hour! Very uncomfortable and no seat belt. Kind of daunting at 140km per hour on a freeway in the middle of the night with quite heavy snow falling. All part of the adventure!
This is a quick shot of Mt Fuji after stopping at one of the truck stops on the way back from Tokyo. It was a very early stop!

I realise it is a truelly crass question, but since you mentioned it
, what are the prices like? I can well imagine there would be a 'little loading' on some of the better trees. I would also guess some 'horse trading' might take place back home, in the weeks following such an event.
