My first black pine

Post by Anth »

This pine was given to me as a gift over a year ago. When I got it I looked at it and thought what the hell am I going to do with this, with my limited experience I took it along to a BNW work shop .

At the work shop the decision was made to cut the top off.

And the wired and a change of direction

Now well over a year later it has been planted into a grow box and will be left to grow for a few years.

Over the next few years it will be fed and left to grow because of room restrictions and lack of time. Plus I still have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to pines

Nice recovery and growth

I think that maybey the shown in second last photo it might get tiltedd to the right at the next repot? Will give some grate movement and bring the foliage over the rootbase?

Yes I wanted to tilt it this repot but there were to many roots stopping it from sitting in the box properly, because I left it a little bit late to repot it I didn't want to touch the roots. I just brushed them out and slipped it into the box.
