Just had to do a conifer !!! I jave chosen a new front however i still like the other. What do you all say ??? :tu:

Best base/nebari bthough a littl reverse taper can be jigged further with more carving and pulling out in the tachiagari in time. The apex would be built out of the upright shoot above the front right hand branch.

Best movement and taper though a little flat trough the bottom 1/3

somewhere in the middle

Looking good Ant, like the way you got rid of the pruning scars on the trunk

nice basic structure there Ant.

If you let the leader really power away and grow long i am sure you will get rid of the slight reverse taper soon. It will be a long haul but i am sure you will end up with a nice tree in the end.

Coming on well Antonio

As jow says let that top power on to add girth and help the reverse taper, but use it sacrificially. There are enough shoots and needles at its base to use them as the future branches and apex giving you a great little pine with a powerful trunk. Gunna be a ripper mate

Got any pics of the layer mate :?:

Cheers Antonio

Growing well. You can see the increased thickness even in the pot. Imagine what it would have done with a year in the ground ;)

Gotta make sure you don't lose those needles close to the trunk before you get some branches from there so you can keep a smaller tree. Otherwise get a much fatter trunk. Goes to show how well they go from air layer mate.

Thanks for the pic.
