This thread has certainly shown great insight into peoples way of thinking about bonsai mix but we can say for certain that all of us place a high level of importance on drainage.

I say to all on here read what has been said from everyone and allow yourself to be challanged in your ways of thinking. After what I have read I am certain to make some changes to my mix even if it is only to test the theories of others on here.

Might try and plant an award winning Black Pine into some crushed brick and concrete and see what happens!!!!!!

Keep the ideas flowing people.

Hasn't anybody realized that any pic based on soils n mixes are an ongoing debate this is never going to end lol
