Has anybody had any experiences with this particular tea-tree? I've recently repotted this little guy a week ago beggining of may the last month of Autumn, I wonder if it will survive, it's in a course soil mix of scoria, pinebark, zeolite. Pardon the rough wiring but the basic idea is there informal upright.

I can't say I'm very experienced, but I have a little Nanum rubrum tea-tree. It was repotted last December, having its roots and foliage pruned by probably more than 1/3. It was potted in Debco Bonsai potting mix. Unfortunately no photos. After I hacked it, it sat on rocks in a tray of water, had the foliage/branches sprayed with water twice a day and was fed seasol once a week, as well as the usual watering. It was summer so it needed plenty of water. Well it dropped its leaves and in a week looked dead. If this happens to your tree, don't give up because my plant came back from the dead! I trimmed and styled it last week, but it really is a stick in a pot at the moment. Next summer it's going into the ground for a few years, that is if it can survive my over zealousness! Tell me a bit more about your tree. How long have you had it?
Did you do anything to the roots when you repotted it?
It will be interesting to see how it recovers and develops. Keep us posted

Thanks for the reply Jen, I've had the tree for about 2 months and was sitting in a 15cm plastic pot, I root pruned it and created a flat radial root structure, (tried to anyway) I reckon I root pruned at least more than 80% of its roots, I'm using this one as a trial to see how robust it is being repotted in autumn. I've had lots of fun styling several of these trees, a couple are showing flower buds. Just a question about your experience with your tree, did the leaves fall off rapidly, as in within days of it's repot? or did it gradually happen, just curious to know, the tree i've repotted is still good and hasn't shown any signs of stress.
