Re: Japanese Maple has lost it's leaves
Same thing happens here. Some still actively growing, others in full colour and others have already dropped leaves. Sometimes it is individual difference, sometimes conditions - subtle difference in watering, sunlight, temp, etc and the differece can have occurred a month or more ago.

Ahh I see!
That makes sense. Thank you
. (P.S check out the pictures! I accidentally posted the same comment twice and couldn't figure out how to delete one, so I just edited it haha, they're back on page one!)
That makes sense. Thank you

There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.

Re: Japanese Maple has lost it's leaves
Can be Just a Weird tree, but if they are all very young they will not have settled in to the correct seasonal routine yet. all babies take a few years to become "normal"MoGanic wrote:I thought it made sense for them to drop their leaves! But then why is that one Maple growing NEW leaves??

sprouting at the wrong time need not be anything to worry about and they will get cold and drop soon.
