Callistemon in flower

Post by PeterH »

This was dug from my yard in 2004.

90cm high

I have considered aerial layering.

WOW Peter, it is lovely tree and a cultural credit to you. I like the trunk and canopy combo much as it is and see no need to layer to reduce its height. Ash

Update,

At the beginning of this year I decided to take the lower branch off and carve the upper trunk to induce some taper. At the same time it did a heavy trim to bring it back to a better shape. This trim resulted in the tree struggling thru winter.I will re evaluate what time of year I do this next time.

Regards,

Peter
