[SELL]: Zeolite
Hi Guys,
ive got 2 x 25kg bags of zeolite.
Its the good stuff, Castle mountain zeolite, in 2mm plus size, the average size being around 4-5mm.
I use this direct from the bag, unsieved.
I have used this in Aquaculture and Aquarium systems and it is extremely activated. It has ahuge affinity for nitrogen and quite a massive CEC, so much so, that it actually absorbs ammonia in Saltwater, which a lot of zeolites do not.
it is a calcium based zeolite, and has a very complex element make up. Essentially its probably the best zeolite you will find.
This is the same zeolite that Ray Nesci sells.
Im selling each bag for $40, which is what it cost me, landed at my door.
PM me if your interested, pick up in Newcastle area only.

Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
ok, price reduction to $25 a bag, surely that makes up for fuel and the inconvenience of the drive to sydney to get the same stuff.

Hey Gareth,
Afraid I am too far to make the drive - I'm near Lismore.
Just wondering who you ordered this through, I have been struggling to find a source for decent sized zeolite either round these parts or in Brisbane/Gold Coast.

Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
I live in Coffs Harbour and the local produce shop stocks it. Have you tried your local produce shop. Apparently it is used in stables etc. Just make sure you get the right size.

Hi
I have just read your ad. Maybe a little late but do you have any more zeolite left.
If so, what location for pick up.
Thanks, Isimiyaki

Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
Are they the same sized bags that Ray Nesci sells for $15.00 bought some on Saturday.
Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
yep they are the same size bag, which is why i cant imagine the reason why people would waste more than $5 on fuel to get down there and back whe they could buy it in Newcastle off me, its only two bags, but hey, i suppose that is thier choice. Ill keep it for myself, ill eventually use it

Hi Gareth
I'll reiterate Ken's question, I also really want to get my hands on some zeolite but have not been able to find where to order it from in smaller quantities than a pallet.
I am in in the Northern Rivers, so too far to take your excess off your hands unfortunately.
Cheers

Try your local horticultural suppliers. Eg places that supply to the nurseries. Also Places that deal in Agricultural and fertilizers should be able to help. here in SA there is http://www.safertilizers.com.au/ which is a little expensive for zeolite, but well priced for other things. Then there is http://www.nutri-tech.com.au/products/d ... olite.html whom supply to various re-sellers. I emailed them regarding other products and they referred me to my local SA NTS agent. Very helpful company. Hope that helps

I have tried my local horticultural suppliers, agriculture/farm suppliers and pool supply shops. Seems it was in fashion for agriculture some years ago in this area but then interest died off, places had large amounts of it in storage for years and are reluctant to order any again, poor service I know, but that is common in this area. I managed to get some ordered in through a pool supply store though it was a fine grade and not really suitable for bonsai (they struggled to get the fine grade and had no idea where to order different grades).
I managed to get onto a QLD mine that has a depot in Brisbane, sadly they are not interesting in purchases smaller than a truckload - when I asked if they could provide any outlets they told me all pool shops would stock it, which they don't, as far as I can tell. I have called round pool supply shops locally, in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and it seems zeolite is long out of fashion in the pool industry as well.
People in the zeolite business seem to have an very inflated sense of their presence in the marketplace, I have been trying to buy their product for 1 full year now.
I will try those websites you provided.
Cheers

Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
I got a reply from cmzeolites
"You can purchase the product you are after in a smaller size (.5mm to 2.2 mm) from any Swimmart store or selected larger Bunning’s stores. The product is branded as:-
Swimart – ZeoPlus
Bunning’s – Zeo Clor
Both are sold in 15kg bags."
Can anyone tell me if 0.5 to 2.2mm is much use in a zeolite/diatomite bonsai mix? Or will I need to sieve out a large part of the bag of it first?
Cheers

Re: [SELL]: Zeolite
Any pool shop worth their weight will stock the Zeoplus zeolite. It's used in filtration systems as I am told it is much better than straight up sand.
For the Sydney based Ausbonsaiers Dural Pool Smart http://www.poolsmart.com.au sell the 15kg bags for around the $24 mark.....Call Mike, Tim or Jen if you've any questions
Cheers Matt
