I did not realise a Nuytsia could be transplanted. Do you know if the host was dug up too? I tried to germinate some a while back with suitable hosts in the pot but didn't even get germination. He might use one of them as he has a fantastic survival rate.
He even had some Christmas trees in the Perth Zoo grounds.
