Stinkin up the joint.

Post by Damian Bee »

Hi there, I have not been on much lately due to work etc.
Today I was out fertilising with organic based pellets and phooeeee.....do they smell :palm:
There is a odour in the back of the house and a definite pong in the yard.
Lets hope the plants enjoy their Christmas present at least

P.S. I can't recommend GO-GO JUICE enough, that stuff works a treat :tu2:

Depends entirely on the quality of the party goers.

What benefit have you noticed form the GO-GO juice? I have been thinking about trying it, but reading the label it sounds very similar to "powerfeed" in the sense that it "Stimulates beneficial microbial activity in all soils, which in turn encourages worm activity." I would love to hear why you love and recommend it. Thanks

Thanks Luke

I feel like I might take the GoGo juice myself feeling a little flat .... although the increased worm activity has me worried :shake:

On a more serious note, the go-go juice gave the results that are on the neutrog web page. Lush healthy growth.

Not sure why you were thanking me, I was only asking a question. I was quoting what the description of powerfeed was on the seasol website, I was asking if it was similar to powerfeed & seasol.

Of course they are going to rave about their own product, but can you tell me what you have personally experienced? Have you experimented by using Go-go on one plant, and having a control plant on which you use only water?? I'd be interested to hear you thoughts.

I love Stinkin up the neighbours :-)
One of them has a Little Yappy bloody Dog, that barks as soon as I walk out the door. Getting back at them in some way it is my pleasure :-)

Sorry Nathan about the breif reply,

Did not have much time then. I did try it out on a control to isolate the results.
Two Azalea of the similar size in roots and foliage of the same variety were chosen. They had both received a teaspoon of blood and bone as a slow release over late winter early spring. One was treated with go-go juice while the other had none. The results were more foliage and visibly more lushness in the growth. The activity under the soil seemed to be a little better too. I guess the only draw back with the lush growth was that the recent hot weather in Melbourne saw a little more foliage burn than usual. Both plants had healthy growth as a result of the blood and bone but I believe that the go-go had a significant impact in aiding the uptake of nutrients.

The smell i can handle, its the influx of tiny flies that bothers me, always afraid im going to breath one in accidentally.
