A little Desert Ash under construction.

I defoliated this little tree three weeks ago and it has come back nicely. It is doing all the right things, the trunk is cracking up beautifully. It is off to display in one of our towns finest hotels "The Lake house"

Agreed. I would love to have enough pots to match up with my trees.

I have to keep them for sale though. It is bad enough that i pilfer my sale stock too regularly.

The rock covering is all i had left and i have to put them on to keep the tree moist in the hotel's airconditioned environment. Is that enough excuses

Well done Bodhi, that is looking a real treat!!
How tall is it?
I like the slice of tree that it is displayed on too!...what sort of wood is it and did you treat the surface of it at all to help preserve it?
I would like to know as I plan to display some trees like this eventually (have the wood, just need the developed bonsai).

It is 260mm in height so a small tree. The slab is yellow box and it is polished with Orange oil. A natural oil that works wonders but it is a little expensive.
