Re: Interviews
I'll try to upload one. I think it's fitting that it should be the Doyen of Australian Bonsai. I had a great time doing this interview. This lady was most gracious and patient and was freely giving of her time to be interviewed.

Re: Interviews
I enjoyed talking with her. There were some wonderful trees at that exhibition. I'll post some photos of that too. Alright, I can hear everyboby groaning. I also interviewed Lee Wilson which, also, was an enjoyable exercise. Lee was very approachable. You'll have to wait til after it's been published in our newsletter to read it.

Re: Interviews
Peter, I'll be interviewing Tony Bebb by email as soon as I get his address from our editor. He agreed (with a bit of grovelling on my part) to interrogation when he was here for our Friendship Day, but I ran out of time . He escaped with the poor excuse of having to catch a plane. Imagine that! I hear he's a member of this group now too.

Re: Interviews
Good on you Penny for taking the time for the Interview - it was a good read. I particularly like these statements:-
• What haven’t you yet done with bonsai, that you would like to do?
• Make money.
Aint it the truth. Most hobbiests are doing it on the cheap.

Re: Interviews
Speaking from some one who is unable to have much to do with the clubs because of distance. I have been in the same room as Dorothy a few times and I get the impression of a mob wife hanging at the back of the room with her onterage.
I found the interview very intresting Thanks

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Interviews
There are 4 books written by the Koreshoffs. 3 by the Late Vita and Dorothy and 1 by Deborah Koreshoff.anttal63 wrote:thanks penny for that, i found it some what interesting. believe it or not im yet to see a korshoff tree does anybody have any pics of dots trees that they can post i am very curious to see them.
Bonsai its Art Science History and Philosophy . Is regarded in Australian and American Bonsai as a must have book.
The 3 books that were written by her parents are among the best beginners books on the market.
The one I consider that any one who is interested in Australian trees as Bonsai is indispensable. Bonsai with Australian Native Plants. All published by Boolarong publications. There are many colour plates in them. Hope this is of some help. I would also like to thank you for that Penny I would add that by the sound of it Dot is still the same Dot.Thanks again Pup.

Re: Interviews
That was terrific Penny. Love to read what the Matriarch of Australian Bonsai has to say at every opportunity. Dorothy is a living legend without doubt. Thanks for sharing that with us.
