Juniper Cuttings

Post by Phoenix238 »

Hi All,

I have some very small cuttings I took off my juniper and put in a pot with some rooting hormone on them, I'm just curious as to how long it should take before I know whether they've taken root or not, and how to tell?

Regards

Phoenix

Best way to knwo is to wait till you see roots coming out the bottom of the pot and / or you see good solid growth on the shoots.
If you wiggle or move them to test, it will just break the new roots off.
could take several months to grow so do not be in a hurry

Hi there, I have, on more than one occasion, experienced up to 12 months. They just sit there, green, green but nothing move. Some died off, but most live.

Good luck with yours :)
