A nice little trunk with good taper. Unfortunately no foliage down low but next Spring I'll chop it hard and build a tree from there. Maybe semi cascade?
Regards,
Steven

Re: [Steven] Casuarina torulosa 4
I got itchy fingers a couple of weeks ago and off went the top...
Just noticed today that there are little buds swelling so hopefully there is enough energy in it and enough warm weather to get some growth before winter sets in. Regards,
Steven

Nice taper and you've got to love that bark. Have you thought of artificially extending the warmer weather (plastic bag/sticks or plastic bottle?) to give those new buds a head start?

Hi Jan,
It is still reasonably warm during the days in Sydney but your suggestion is very good and I might just do it
Thanks,
Steven

Plenty of branch choices to make but nothing done as yet... Guess I had better get busy!

I am guessing you already will, but this will look very beautiful if you continue and refine the shoot extending from the base into a smaller second trunk.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

Why is this guy in the "withdrawn, disqualified or dead entries" section?

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.
