Hi all,
My little island is being hit by a severe drought for sometime now.
The lack of rain has been starting since feb 2011, but its been nearly 2 whole weeks without any "rain" where I live now.
And I'm supposed to live in one of the places that gets hit most often by rain.

The main water reservoir is down to 30%, and there has been severe water cuts throughout the whole island.
Some days ago, the govn. even placed a bann on washing cars and watering plants!!
We are getting water supplies every two to four days. Some regions have no water at all and water containers have to be send there.

Its sad to say, but several of my trees have been badly hit.

I've tried to save what I can by placing them in a deep shaded area.

Im extremely sorry to hear about the drought on your island i hope first and foremost you take your own well being into consideration.

Ill pray to the bonsai gods that your trees will get a drink, so will everyone else here on Ausbonsai.

Try burying the pots in the ground and cover with Mulch
that way your trees can survive for several days without as much water.

When you wash yourself, keep the first flush of water and water just around your trees.
try not to use dirty detergent water on them.
