Hello all,
I have just received this beautiful Mel that I purchased from Pup. I am showing you the pics Pup sent me (pre purchase) as I have not had time to take my own.
While I dont intend to make any changes to this tree this season, I would like peoples thoughts on direction for the future. All opinions welcome.
Thanks again Pup for this lovely tree.

Amen to that Ash.
I do believe that what was said was about the imports that cannot be brought in. As my answer is and always will be work with what you can get.
It does not have to be Huge to be good, look at Bohdihamas recent post, just needs some one to see the potential there. Also one of the world class trees that was on loan to the National Collection, that magnificent English elm. Using the material we can get.
This tree is a good example of what is available. Not necessarily, the same species but pleny of Native stock around.
Look forward to the development of this tree.

I second Ash on his quote .That old bugger certainly know how to produce some exception stock . I need to learn some more on collecting Natives before i tackle too many . I

have killed my tube stock , but i have a nice red gum raft .Need to get a bit rougher i think .
Cheers Alpineart.

Hello all,
I have finally taken some pics of my own, not as professional as Pups, but nice all the same. I have wired a little movement into the new branch and pinched most of the new growth. I will just sit back and enjoy this little beauty for the rest of this season with a view to making some slight changes new year.
Any opinions or ideas are welcome.
Cheers
