crushed terracotta

just wondering if crushed terracotta is any good as a substrate. i was planning on adding it to my diatomite mix.

I think Brett and Grant did some testing with it and thought that it worked well. Check grant soil testing thread maybe?

Almost any rock or rock substitute could make up a percentage of a mix.

Scoria, terracotta, crushed brick, decomposed granite, Zeolite, gravel, blue metal etc etc etc.

Depends what is easy to source in your local and what suits your habits and environment.
