Thanks for posting Gerard,
Some awesome tree there!
I can't wait for the Convention next year, Victoria seems to have the highest standard of bonsai in Australia!
The Japanese maple looks like it has great nebari, defitnitly one to watch in the coming years!

I didn't know trees like that trident were even in Australia!
Anymore shots of the Radiata forest?
How did you find Bill's talk, any info that stood out?
I'm heading to the School of Bonsai's talk/workshops tomorrow, I've been waiting all year!

Thanks Scott,
You are putting us under some pressure with expectations for next years convention,

I have seen some very special trees at previous conventions in other states.
Northwest show 006.jpg
This is a photo of the radiata forest taken a few months ago, it and the aleppo can be seen at the Box Hill Town hall this weekend (BSV show)
The talk was very good, Bill does not like the bonsai police
Visitors from
Bendigo, (Mojo & friends),
Geelong, (Gargar, Webbos & Co.)
Adelaide, (Andrew Ward & Assoc.)
All enjoyed the show, I expect to see many of them again tonite.

The Japanese maple had "nice nebari"
The cedar had an "alternative to the present front", and he liked the Lorraine Simpson pot very much.
The trident was wondeful but "pot selection", "pot positioning" and "pinching habits" could make it even better.
He wanted to take the radiata forest home, but they do not do well with his home climate and the USA have recently tightened restrictions on imports for quarantine reasons.
The aleppo

....... I noticed late in the evening that Bill was trying to put it into his briefcase
