New Projects- LA and seeds

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share what I'm up too.
Around 2 and a half months ago I thought i'd have a crack at growing from seeds, I bought 50 Acer palmatum and 50 Cryptomeria Japonica's from Ebay just as an experiment. Stratification is up ( Not ideal timing i know ) but I planted them yesterday morning. I hope for one Japanese Cedar at least!
The wait begins,
Until this morning when i picked up a Liquidambar for $20, something new to keep me happy

It was pretty limp looking, So I cut off a couple of the bigger leaves which were covering the trunk, causing the new growth to die, but i repotted it into something bigger straight away and gave it a good watering, i swear it looks looks better already. Going to wire the leader up in a spiral, once i can see the branch positioning of the new growth better.
