not much to go on but bark and buds look a little like my Acer campestrus

Sorry Shibui, not an acer.
These buds burst into unusual flowers which look like little bright green feather dusters.

hi mate
I was going to say calliandra but I havent seen them with a green flower, but thats not to say they cant have green ones! they do have a feather type flower though.

I just realized that I am not being entirely fair, this tree was purchased from a deceased estate. The seller did not know so I consulted a few respected club members who insist this is correct..........................
The common - European ash, Fraxinus Excelsior.
I believe this to be correct but have not seen such flowers on any other, so I could be persuaded otherwise. I will post photos when it flowers.
