Hey everyone,
This is just for some fun, I was given my first bonsai 5 years ago, a little juniper and always wished that I could be small enough to sit under it. So i took two photos, one of the tree on my living room coffee table, and the other of myself, then whipped up some photoshop. I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.
That's all!

Chipper: Glad ya liked it Chipper! And yep, that moss is so cushy.
Craig: thanks craig, photoshop: making lies of photos for years
Webos: ahh yes, that wire is EXPENSIVE! And because it's so thick, you order it preshaped and you then twist the TREE around the wire.

hey Astroboy!
ahhh my peach, well she had around 15 long shoots that had turned to alright branches, and during winter half of them died back right to the trunk. it was so sad to see them turn brown after she had done so well. BUT! the half that remain are going great guns. She's shooting out new growth all over the place, and even giving me around 6 or so pretty pink flowers. so she's doin alright!

Hey Jozaeh, you could be a permanent figurine for your juniper there

Very cute, I like it.

Very well done. I reckon we should get a series of these with our own trees. I was entertaining myself for a while thinking of ideas
I am sure I will have some time to waste one day

Looks fantastic and such a nice idea.
I would suggest doing some more blurring between the edge of you and the image of the tree though, the transition between the two looks a little abrupt and unnatural to me

An thanks Mickaus!
I originally did this photo edit about 6 years ago, and my photoshop skills weren't as good back then. Cause yep, it's a little too crisp on the edge of me as compared to the image of the tree, I also think the image of me is slightly too high in contrast.
oh photoshop, so much fun.

I'm more a fan of the GIMP myself especially being free and all.
Unfortunately I'm pretty horrible with it, though I have been forced to learn the basics since the graphics designer at work quit and people turn to me

Ahh GIMP! I haven't tried it myself, but it seems from screenshots like it's great. I recently found pixlr as an online broswer image editor and I was blown away that the developers put SO much functionality into a completely free editor?! Dang people do great work. Anyway, I'm lucky because my work buys all my software, otherwise there's no way i'd be shelling out perfectly good bonsai money when there's GIMP for free.
oh yes, your poor 'graphic emergency' guy, i know that feeling believe me. Once people find out that you can do image stuff, then it's like they're all scrambling towards you as if you're the fountain of youth and they're all 98 year olds.
