Hi Gerard,

I'm gonna be daring and suggest the following:

The tree on the right as we see the photo is removed and placed on the left of the other trees. It is also rotated through 180 degrees so that the side with fewer roots sits nice and snugly against the base of the main tree, but a little behind it. I'd then suggest taking quite a bit off the dead tree so that it does not overpower the smaller tree at the back.

That's the best I can come up with! :lost:

Cheers,

Andrew

I would remove the dead trunk and bring the two trees close together so that it looked like a twin trunk. What are you going to do with it? Ash

For me this was the best and most interesting transformation of the day, it required some serious manipulation of the roots in order to reposition the trees but the result was spectacular.

Huge improvement Gerard. Losing the dominant deadwood trunk was what I hoped you would do. Shortening the jins might be a subtle change for the good.
