Hi all,
Just thought i would share some pics of a trident that i have been growing for a number of years. These pics are all taken from this year. It still has a way to go but it is finally starting to become worthy of the pot it is in. The pot is a production Reiho which by itself is not super special but it is starting to develope a wonderful patina.

Is that long shoot from a root graft (as in
this) or are you planning on thread grafting it? Nice tree.

It’s both. There is a long shoot being grown from the first branch on the right that is going to be used for a thread graft next spring and there is also a root graft that needs to do some more growing before it is separated.

Looking great Jow,
The apex blends in well with the old trunk and has enough movement to be interesting.
Good to see plenty of ramification developing on branches too.

You dont reconise the trunk any more than that? It came from you long ago. It was the last stump to sell at one of the bsv shows about 5-8 years ago. You certainly dod a good job with the base on this one!

Shibui,
I think I too now remember your quality trees for sale at the 2007 convention. I hope you still sell that great quality and take up a table at the 2012 convention. Sorry Joe for hijacking your thread for a little bit.
