been quite for awhile had some other stuff going on. here are a few of my shohin, i have alot in plastic pots i hope to transplant this winter into bonsai pots as well. the first 2 willow leafs are proberly my favorite. Another season and that scar will have rolled over.some have only been in a bonsai pot for 1 season. hope you enjoy. the trident is right on the limit size wise if we go by height. a smaller pot in time i think.

i have afew cork bark elms but il wait for leaf drop untill posting.

Well done, Noah! Great shohin, and they look particularly appealing against a background of average size bonsai.

Very nice Noah, I also like the Trident you must be pleased with the colours you are getting from your deciduous trees down there in the icepole. What is the height of the trident as the sizes are very ambiguous. some say 25 other say 20cm. Others say it must fit in the palm of the hand others say the hand. So we do have a lot of conjecture.

I prefer to say if its small and looks as good as these, then what difference does it make. I still like them.

Pup, the tree itself is pushing 25cm so if that dosent include the pot i think its out side the realm and classed as next group up. i think it would be difficult with one hand as its quite thick and got abit of weight. the pot been alittle larger than i like isent helping. Anyway i do like the tree and if it isent shohin its close

G,day Noah the measurement is always taken from the rim of the pot. The next size is Kifu which is between 25 and 35, this size is used to separate the stands of the Shohin Mame and shito ,in exhibitions where space permits.

It is still a nice tree, it is just a pity we do not get the colours you guys get. Plus the two imported Tridents I had did not make it.
It took 3 years from quarantine, they were always sickly from the methyl bromide treatment.
