mugo pine repot

Gday all i did a repot of my pine today and this is the final result , the pot was a cheap one from reject shop for $5
i thought ok good price i will do a wire on the weekend i hope.the tree was styled back in november 2010 and repoted
today may 2011 it is approximatly 5 year old 1.5 cm trunk

i did say i repotted the mugo pine no wire yet just repot from the first picture to the second

Seems like a nice start on the pine. Guess the pot is OK for development over the next few years but would like to see a side shot.

well like i stated i havent wired since it got did it 7 months ago, i was thinking of bringing that top branch that is sticking up
like a sore thumb and wireing it and bending it down towards the cascade so it would be more like a windswept.

Ok thanks, I don't dislike that branch at the moment but in classical thinking (or cookie cuter thinking which I don't dislike either) It could be used as a sacrifice branch for some time before being severely reduced or even removed all together. If you wanted to go for something more unusual, more difficult, I think you could play around with that branch for a few years to see if you can come up with a pleasing design but keeping the option of removing it all together which I think is a good possibility. Should be a fun tree to work with over the years. Enjoy
