Just thought I'd post a picture of TIOGA after a winter pruning. I spent 3 weeks drastically reducing the foliage this past winter and now that spring had finally arrived it's beginning to bud back out and needing daily foliage pinching. I'm much happer with the reduced foliage.

What do you folks think?

Hi Plantmanky , absolutely fantastic , reminds me of the "enchanted forest" i discovered up here many years ago .I could certainly picture myself meditating in such a unique place . Thanks for the inspiration .Cheers Alpineart

Hey Randy all in all it is a very beautiful planting, there is no question of that ! It certainly does take one to another place. Personally i think the foliage could be reduced further by a third, in terms of width and density. Alla Naka... :tu:

excellent--perhaps some larger foliage pads at the back to create a couple of darker more solid areas?

Hey Randy. Yep, far to much foliage in that setting of yours mate. Send it over here to me and I'll tidy it up for you. ;)

Thanks for all the kind comments mates!!!!!! And those that provided some food for thought too!!!!! It will be fun to see how it changes over the comming years. Hopefully future care takes of it will enhance it and really make it into a "fairytale forest".
