I have been looking through this forum and got inspired to collect a couple of pines found some 20 minutes up the road on the road verge .they have been hit with the slasher a few times and as a result have very compact growth close to the base .Ive included a few photos to show you how much of the rootball we collected with the trees.my question is should i remove some of the folage or leave it ?

Hey Raw they look like a good find. Great roots! When did you collect ??? I leave all my foliage on when i collect radi's. even if they're 8 ft tall. No trimming for the 1st 12 months.

dug them up today,bit late maybe ? frosts will be here soon .will keep all growth on for now following your advice.

they should be ok, Radiatas are very strong trees.

protect from frosts and they should be fine.

Nice looking stock mate.
