Good Friday Dig

I spent today collecting this radiata

I have made the decision to put it into a pot now which saves me from this difficult job in the future.
Why murder the tree after you put a few years into styling?
The risks of losing the tree are greater but if it survives it will be styled and healthy before I touch the roots again.
The long straight section viible in pic 2 was the main trunk it was shortened by more than a metre and will be shortened by a similar amount when the tree recovers some strength.

After a few days of contemplation I think this is a possible front but I will have plenty of time to see what develops before I do any cutting.

Any pics?

You are spot on with the waiting game comment.
I am confident this one will be OK after my experinces with several trees last year.
