Well, AABC 2011 is on in WA next month and of course during the seminar the details of next years' seminar will be announced. So bets are on....who do we think/hope the international demonstrator is going to be? (If you already know the answer, please dont comment...)

Do we know what the Convention theme is?

That may give us a clue?

I know Bonsai Northwest was keen to have Michael Persiano return, but due to personal reasons Michael was not able to come.....yet.

To have a new face is often preferred if I was to have my wish I would say "Walter Pall", I know he is a great artist but have no idea about his ability as a presenter or demonstrator.

Perhaps it is time to go back to grass roots and have a Japanese demonstrator.

After last year, where a lot of passion was lost in translation :imo: we might take the safe option and get someone whose native language is English.

Regardless of who it is, I will be there!

I'm hoping for Ryan too. Kevin Wilson would be good. Japanese artists would be great too.

Hi,
I'm betting it is Peter Adams seeing he is out here doing seminars anyway.
Regards,
Michael

I dont reckon it will be Walter - he was here only a few years ago. I dont reckon it will be Peter either. I dont think Ryan's profile is big enough to convince the powers that be. I dont think Kevin Wilson will be it. I dont think it will be anyone direct from Japan. You know what.....I have no idea who it will be! :D

I like what the Europeans are doing nowadays with their styling, I hope it is someone from around there - alot of them speak very good English. There will be something to learn from whoever is chosen, you just need to keep an open mind.....as you should with all bonsai styling.

I'm going to have a bet each way - either Graham Potter or Steve Tolley. They fit most of the criteria already mentioned - great artists, English speaking (OK they are Poms so we may need an interpreter?), European, new to our shores (I think), have good reputations in specific bonsai areas etc etc.

Would love to see Mario Komsta have his way with our trees. Pavel Slovak would be great too.

Walter not only has a great command of English but great teaching skills. He is an artist more than worthy of a return visit to our shores.

I don't think it'll be Peter, Since he is coming out this year.

I'm putting my money on a formal bonsai education (japan), do we know which club has it?

Bonsai Northwest will be the host
