Is my maple sick?

Hi guys
I was wondering if someone could tell me if my Trident Maple is sick? The leaves seem to have a grey tinge to them. The tree has not been growing for the last month or so while my other tridents have been. I have only noticed the change in the leaves today but I have been wondering why it has not been growing for a while now.
Thanks in advance

Probaly just a little bit singed around the edges from wind / sun over summer
It has slowed down and getting ready for winter sleep
all mine have done little for the last month too

Hi Busta, it looks to me that you have a mildew problem. It has been very wet in Melbourne as you know. I suspect very wet roots, maybe a drainage problem. Tridents are tough and it will pull through no probs i reckon. I have had a very healthy year and my Tridents are looking like this.

Thanks Bodi

Do you think that it would be beneficial to repot my trident now? I have been using very basic bonsai soil and i am afraid that the roots may be rotting. (the soil i have been using is one u can buy from most bonsai nurseries, comes in a white bag..sorry, not much help i know. )if i was to repot it I would be replanting it into a different soil mix than previously used. I am aware that this is not the time to repot maples etc
Thanks again

probably Debco Matt. No, your trident is going dormant now and has stopped putting roots out probably best to wait until Spring. Stop it from getting waterlogged over winter. Keep it under cover and water it lightly twice a week.
