Excellent demo Scott. Thanks for digging it up and taking the time to post it. I will give it a crack next spring.

Last year I dug two 1991 Japanese maples from the field and removed most of the large branches. The roots were good but grafting will definitely improve them, so i'll be doing both some branch grafting and root grafting this spring too.
