Hi Everyone
Bonsai Northwest will be holding their Autumn exhibiton and Sale on the 14-15 May 2011 at the Footscray Community Arts Centre which is a brand new building a venue more focused on the display art in Community groups. Its only 5 minutes from the Melbourne CBD.

This is one of the best Exhibitions in Melbourne and showcases some of the great Victorian Bonsai artists throught their magnificent trees.

There is a massive range of member's bonsai trees and stock for sale and an extensive range of pots, tools and other accessories on offer too at very cheap prices.

As usual, we offer the first 100 visitors a free maple on both days.

Hope to see you there.

Hi David, is the trading area as good & as large as the old venue, or is it even better? I will be there to help over the weekend, see you then. cheers, miyagiman.

Trading area is a different shape, longer rather than wider but is around the same size as previous venue. And you know how packed it is with bonsai and stock at really cheap prices.

Hi Molty, we never really know what is on offer in the sales area until the actually friday night when everything is brought in. Let's just say there are so many trees and stock that its almost impossible to lay everything out nicely. I have a couple of things I'll be selling so I will see if I can get photos of them soon and up on here.
Thanks for your interest and see you there.

David

For those of us outside the Metro area and who don't know Melb too well, Where would we find the Footscray Community Arts Centre?

Hi Shibui
Footscray is a 5-10 min drive West from the CBD of Melbourne. Two main roads out of the city, Dynon and Footscray roads, will get you there in 5mins.

Hi all, just a reminder this coming weekend will be Bonsai Northwest's Exhibition held in Footscray. This is probably the closest Bonsai Exhibition in terms of location to Melbourne CBD. I have finished preparing 5 of my trees for the exhibition and I have to say that my Radiata Pine is looking really beautiful. I also will have a few things for sale including a lovely old trident and a large old multi trunk Chinese elm group.

Can't wait for this weekend.

See you there. Come and say hello.
