Looks like an aerial root! This is normal for figs. :imo:

Hi Mick It is an aerial root - depending on the type of fig they can be red or white. Most likely has been encouraged by humidity from a lot of rain. My figs have been pumping them out since before Christmas due to all the rain we have had. If you want to encourage them you can lay some spag moss around the base of the tree to lift humidity.

Mick, my Girls used to ask why I treated their brothers different, as per staying out later, and not staying over.

My answer was boys can cause problems, by staying out late, but it is the girls, that come home with a belly full of arms and legs, from it. :palm:
Then Dad has to get the shotgun out. :tounge:

Bit different today though.  Pup a very concerned father of two Girls, did not do me any bloody good though. :palm: :shake:
