New Olive Stock

hey guys & girls i dug this up last Monday on the way home from mum and dads. I was pritty excited about the dead wood attached and would like some advice on what to do. I will flat cut it and was thinking where ? and what to do with the deadwood

That's one massive base :o .

In two weeks time we are also going on a hunt for Olive and Buddleja yamadori - hope to get something nice also.

Just pot it and keep it alive for two seasons then decide on any styling for the future. Whilst you could probably find a suitable front this may change as the branches grow, but this can still give you an insight to the future of it. Allowing the tree to fully recover and flourish again will speed up styling when it comes to it. Re the deadwood, treat it with lime sulphur to preserve it and wait as well. I wouldn't reduce or style it till you style the tree as this may also change. You can't put it back once you carve it out. Nice find
