Hi Guys,

After reading through the label, god knows how many times i am still confused as what dose rate i should use for which application.

Generally i am just looking for a dose rate and doseing frequency for-

- general use
- bare rooting-repotting (obviously would not have a frequency)
- cuttings and smaller plants

I would just use the normal dose for flowering plants, I have not used this product before though.

But thats what i am saying, ill be buggered if i can decipher what dose to use for what purpose, each dose rate "section" has 3 or 4 options in it alone.

According to the back of my bottle;
1/4 teaspoon or 1ml per 4 litres of water. I just put a dash into a watering can.

i think the guys needs to invest in some new advertising and labelling though, he has a label that looks like a comic book, i mean if the stuff works then i suppose the label doesnt matter, but the information on the label is a bit over the top.

Anywho, thanks for the info, when it stops raining i might try some.

The labels and advertising remind me of the old 'snake oil' potions from yesteryear.

im interested to know how often it can be used at this dose (1ml per 4ml of water) before it will harm trees..can it be used every other day or is it a waste of time and money....has anyone experimented much with there application rates...
i was thinking if you used it once a week then it would get washed out rather quickly (especially for those that have to water 3 or 4 times a day due to the heat) as we water our trees quite frequently during the growing season...i have read a few other threads which talk about this as well...

Superthrive dosage will depend on the species.

Species that respond to placebos generally need quite a lot of it.

Many people swear by it.

The label is what kept me away from Superthrive for years, as Steven said - reminds one of the yee olde Snake Oil sales of days gone by. Took a month at a Nursery on Sydneys North side to convince me I should be using the stuff.
Rates, as used by me, are a good splash in a bucket intially. Plants are given a good soak and then I don't use it again, unless a plant is looking a bit sick on it. Then I give it the old 1/4 Teaspoon in a bucket of water dose. I never use it as a general plant pickmeup - to expensive for that sort of usage for us, we tightwads. , instead I use Seasol.

I am not going into the pro's and con's of it, but I have used it since a mate brought some back from the USA. After doing a workshop with the late great John.Y. Naka.

They were giving away sample's he bought back 4, 25ml bottles. we tried it on some sick tree's have used it ever since . 20 years as some people say, it might be like a placebo, but when my tree's recover you can call it what you like.
I use an eye dropper at the rate of one drop per litre on a sick plant, or one that is needing a pick me up after re potting.
