I know that a lot of our members in Queensland are doing it tough at the moment. I would like us all to pause for a time and think what we can do, to help.
I know the various Governments and departments, are setting up relief and donation, points for us to help there.

Our members needs are a bit different unless they had specific cover for there trees and Pots.

So I would ask you all to wait, before you throw or give away that something, as it might help our friends to get started again when it is clear to do so.

When it is all clear again, we can try and find out who has lost trees and pots, so we can all HELP them start a new.

Good post Pup. My trees won't suit the QLD climate but I may be able to send something when the water subsides and people have cleaned up.

A lovely sentiment Pup and we will wait and see where the Bodhidharma award goes this year.

Thanks for suggesting it Pup. I live well outside the flood zones and haven't been affected at all - and I'm with you and Rowan. I'll be putting some material aside for anyone that might appreciate it when they've sorted themselves out and got back to some sort of normality. I was going to put some up for sale, but I'll hold it back and wait and see what happens. Looks like there could be even more rain on the way north as well.

Way ahead of you Pup, the Australian People helped so many of our friends and people in our community during the February 2009 bushfires with donations, equipment, labour and basically the shirts off their own backs in some cases, it would be un Australian not to return the favour when our mates to the North need us.

I live in Mackay and have avoided the floods this time round. I have been considering reducing my collection - I have too many from small cuttings to more advanced unstyled stock. I will go through them and sort them out. Keep me posted as to who, what, where and how.

Another great initiative by Pup.I can offer a couple of cartons of pots If somebody can organise distribution.

Thanks for the kind words and offers of donations. At this point in time, we are as wise about what will happen, as the poor sods who are affected.

I would like all who have made offers to hang onto them, then when we know the extent of need or want. As I feel some might not want to start over.
We can then try and organise, for the distribution though some one in the area, as a collection point.

Then arrange for shipment to that or those persons. Please keep up with any other Donations. For the relief of others affected by this catastrophe.

I live in Brisbane right next to the river, and am surrounded by flooded zones, but think I should be safe as I'm fairly high about ground in my location. My trees are all doing well too.

Let's hope that what we've seen is the worst of it
