I just spent the last two hours digging this puppy out of the front garden.
We've not long bought the house and still getting the gardens etc in order.
Where it was growing didnt suit the missus plan for the garden so it had to go and I was more than happy to oblige.
I am a bit buggered at the moment though.
I also took a heap of cuttings before i dug it up. So hopefully I'll get a few nice trees out of this one.

I do need a bit of advice regarding how much foliage a should keep on it if any?

I managed to keep most of the root ball so I dont need to interfere with the roots too much just cut off some of the heavier ones so it will fit in the growing box

What does everyone think?

I think if you are not careful tin that that beer will get hot
Looks like you have plenty of roots so you should have plenty of growth to work with down the track. It looks like you have already reduced the foliage so I wouldn't get rid of much more. Keep us up to date.

that's a great tree you have there. the bark looks great and the trunk is a nice size as well. i can't wait to see it in a few years once there is some new growth and it's under gone more training. A great tree for the future

Not to fear Ash the beer has already been taken care of
I reduced the tree to about a third of its previous size but wasnt sure about how much i should leave on so thanks for the info.
I now have it in a box and it just had a nice big drink of seasol.
Now to wrangle it into a nice shady spot and clean up before I get shot
