At 8 am in the foothills of Perth the temperature is 34 Celsius. Perth are expecting 39 but I bet we break the 40, and it is still only half way though November.
No rain in site. We are told we might get some on Monday

we are not holding our breath.
By the way the humidity is 30 percent as I have just finished watering. Just thought you would like to know.
Cheers

Awww Pup, chin up, things could be worse. You could live in Cairns here and have not so much temperature, i think it is about 30 today, but the humidity on the weather station in my sons room is reading 92%, and it is quarter to eleven and raining...lol

Hi Pup,
We didn't even have winter this year. It has stayed slightly warm but never hot all year and it still cools off at night. We have had rain throughout the year and the wetter season has commenced already. It has made it a poor year for flower and fruit but a great year for growing ferns! As to summer? You can have it- I am not doing summer this year.
Hey fish- with this rain we are having- keep on fertilizing- it washes the pot nutrients away quick smart! It even leaches nutrient out of leaves. You get great root growth you might as well give em something to lick up.

Good old Perth always keeps you guessing. That is ridiculous for this time of year though isnt it.It is reverting back to the Victoria of old over here. 20 c over here today and green, green, green. the soil is still soggy underfoot, havent experienced that for a long time

......couple that with 40 knot easterlies here on the coast, and you've got all the makings of a watering x3 sort of day

.....these 36+ degree days make me nervous. Yep!. Looks like the begining of a long, hot, dry Summer.
Cheers!

Yeah feeling it here in the northern suburbs of Perth too.. Got a day off so just laid 2 extra air layers to make it 3 on my chinese elm stock plant. Nervous about my japanese maple seedlings in the garden bed though, they get full afternoon sun. Might have to take their clumps of soil straight out into pots - more portable.

In Perth CBD here, walked outside the office to get some lunch, lasted about 3.5 seconds, decided I didn't need lunch today. Current temp. 39.9C.
I'm not ready for this yet!

i would love summer this year, but i dont get it, living down in tas means its colder then any other state, AND i am going to europe for 6 weeks of summer. from the heat of the 30's, to malaysai, brining the heat up some more, and then freezing cold of london a day later. i would love a summer after such a cold winter down here.

It made it to 41.4 with the humidity level a whopping 6 percent was it sweaty. Not from the bloody humidity though. The mini's were treated like the big ones though, watered 3 times.
Cheers
