Can anyone tell me if I should be worried about this... The tree was dug a couple of weeks ago.

Could be sun burn or wind burn on new foliage.

When you dug it up dig you get enough roots? Was it in leaf already? Did you put in sun or shade? did you protect from wind? did you mist the foliage?

Dug it a week and a half ago, I think I got enough roots, is a big stump - 5 inch at base. It's now in a massive terracotta pot. The leaves you see came with it.
Was in full shade for 1 week, now part shade until late afternoon. Might have gotten some wind as it was very windy after it was potted, but not hot wind.. Did mist but not everyday. Seasol bi-weekly.

Looks like there might be some buds coming out, should I take current leaves off or just leave them be if the bubs come out ok?

Thanks for the help Grant!!

Leave all the current leaves on. They will help suck water out of the pot and get the roots going. New leaves should be OK and will not burn.

Leave in the pot undisturbed for about two years before you do anything drastic to it like carving or cutting more roots.

Grant.

Hi,

i'll be there on Friday.

The Callistemon is still not in flower yet. Going by last year it was in full bloom in late November/early December.
