at first look,I like #5 and woudl tilt it far to the left to bring the first bend lower and you have a branch there to use as the first one. then the top section above that would make the apex of the trees by bending and making some sort of contortionist bends to bring it all much lower.
Or cut them and regrow the apex foiage much lower

Hey Regan,

I have taken the first image. Extend that bottom left branch out a lot and make the tree into a "dominant bottom branch tree"?? There must be a style name for it! I have changed the angle of the apex about 10 degrees counterclockwise.
I have also compressed the bottom of the tree to get the branch in a bit lower. How good is your bending technique? I ahve cleaned up the lines as well, as if you can get a bend in low down to compress the tree, you can get a nice flow off the trunk and into the first branch. Yuo can probably bring the apex down a bit - it is still a bit high in the virt.

Almost forgot! Rotating the tree a bit counterclockwise when viewed from the top may kill the "straight" lower trunk. Not sure where it would bring that lower branch though.

I reckon this tree is going to come up real good real quick photo 7 is where I would start, then wire it out completely, I dont think you will nood to do to much compression, some clever branch placement and you will be on the way to a nice tree

I haven't been to Robin's for quite a while. I should! it's nice stock.
Meeting starts at 1:30pm and I usually try to arrive about 1pm. Will be there for sure

You have some exciting stock to play with and I see something similar to Andrews virtual, which is very good I might add.
Please submit the images from after you style it and don't be in too much of a hurry to get it into a bonsai pot. I have made this mistake before and my bonsai have not developed as fast as I would have liked.
