gday pat :D

Im just starting out with river reds, your seedlings are bigger than mine! mine only have a couple of sets of leaves   thats a nice image to aim for.

FlyBri is the man to talk to about river reds, I am pretty sure he has been working with some for around 10 years now. I am interested in how long they will take to really bark up, unfortunatly most of the time it is exactly that to get these sorts of things, time.

I reckon grow them on for a while longer mate, get them to around 3-4mm thick, then put some movement into them and leave them alone for a few years (watch the wire of course).

keep us posted mate ;)

Gday Pat!

I am certainly no expert, and I don't know your level of experience, but I believe that you could create a tree similar to the one pictured in much less than 19 years (no disrespect to the custodian of the tree in question). I have grown a River Red from a seedling for around 12(?) years now, and I think it is just starting to find its form.

Please feel free to ask questions or offer criticism, either here or in the thread I have linked to.

Thanks, good luck, and keep us posted of your progress!

FlyBri.
