I hope you are all enjoying these installments of Japan. For those who have been it brings back memories and for those who have not, it might inspire you to go and see for yourself. For those in between please enjoy it through my eyes as i love sharing with you. The gardens in Japan are mostly all trained. Everywhere are pines as garden trees all trained and manicured like large Bonsai. Maples are everywhere and even street Shrubs are trained. If you walk through the back lane ways you will see all sorts of different methods of training and manipulating happening. It seems that all of Japan (mostly anyway) are obsessed with trees in training. Bonsai's adorn balcony's and gardens. None are chained down and none get stolen. We could take a leaf out of their book on the principles of theft. I asked someone who does all this work and was told that..we all get together and work on them, it just happens. National pride is very evident.

This is fantastic Bodhi, it looks like you actually got to have a really relaxed look around instead of one of those "race off to the next destination" tours.
Keep these coming, i'm loving it. cheers, miyagiman.
